We are a guide, not a broker

We do not sell tickets, take bookings, or resell other people’s activities. We point you to the people who actually run each experience so you can deal with them directly, check their safety record and reviews, and pay the real local rate with no markup added by us.

How we choose what to recommend

Recommendations are based on first-hand knowledge of the region, safety history, the quality of direct operators, verifiable reviews, and honest traveler feedback. When we are still verifying something, we say so rather than filling the gap with whoever would pay to be there. When we are not sure, we tell you. When we get something wrong, we correct it.

If this ever changes

If GuatapeGuide ever earns money in a way that could influence what we recommend, we will disclose it plainly, on the page where it matters. Independence is the entire point of this guide, and we will not trade it quietly.
